Happy 6th Birthday Brooke!

Brooke decided to ask for gifts for our animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society instead of gifts for herself.

She brought in arms full of cat and dog food, toys and a cat tower. She is waiting patiently to attend her cat orientation, so she can be one of our volunteers with her mom.

We are inspired to see that young people such as Brooke are getting involved in animal welfare and making a difference for the animals in our community.  THANK YOU BROOKE!!!

TWO PAWS UP FOR Megan!

Miranda is 12 years old. Her family has a business in town and Miranda request that her mom put up a prize for donations made to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society.

A sign was up in the store and people donated. Miranda was so happy to bring in a donation of $65.20.

Thank you Miranda for thinking of our furry animals.

Here she is loving up, Simba, a cute little pup that will go up for adoption tomorrow.

Keighan celebrated his 9th Birthday by requesting donations for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Societly insteads of gifts for himself. The generous donation was $165.00.
Here he is in a picture with our little huskies. There is only one left, waiting for its forever home.

      Mya, Hana and Annie held a lemonade stand and earned $50.71.
They very generously donated this money to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. Thank you Girls.

Tatum and Toll are very happy to see the girls. The cats are still waiting for their forever home.

Edrie wanted to celebrate her 10th birthday by doing something nice for the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society animals.

Instead of gifts for herself, she asked to have her friends and family donate for the animals.

She brought in a cash donation and treats, kitten & cat food, Canadian Tire Money and a coupon for free food. Thank you so much Edrie.

The black and white cat is Roo (2 years old) and the other cat is Reuben (5 years old). They are still looking for their forever home.

Cassandra came in to the shelter today bearing arms full of food for our cats and dogs. She also collect a total of $240.00.

Brought her own camera and wanted to take pictures of our animals. Grandpa brought her by and patiently waited.

Mya celebrated her birthday and asked to have donations for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society.  A big thank you goes to Mya. Hope you had a great day.

Hana celebrated her 9th birthday and gave the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society a donation of $230.00. Instead of gifts for herself, she asked for donations for the animals.

She brought in a letter that said our animals are always in her thoughts. It was signed, Love always and had all the names of her friends that gave donations.

YOU ARE THE CATS MEOW!

Kyra just celebrated her 9th birthday and decided to make it a special day for our animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. She came in bearing gifts  of a large bag of cat food, cans of cat food and toys. A portion of the donations were purchased by using a gift certificate which she asked Santa for at Christmas.

 Here she is in the picture with Rainbow who is three and a half years old and is looking for her forever home.

Thank you for thinking of us Kyra. Happy birthday! We like to think that our animals are Half-way home. With your donations today, that will help us keep working to have Rainbow All the way home in her forever home when she is adopted.
TWO PAWS UP FOR KYRA.

Christopher celebrated his 9th birthday and asked for donations for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society instead of presents for himself.

He brought in cat and dog food, plus a $95.00 donation.

We are inspired to see that young people such as Christopher are getting involved in animal welfare and making a difference for the animals in our community. 

Samantha just celebrate her 9th birthday. She brought in an armful of gifts and $105.00 in donations for our furry animals.
She was given a tour of the shelter. When she was asked if she wanted to see cats or dogs, she said she loved ALL animals.
Here she is loving up Jeanie, our three year old cat. Jeanie is still waiting for her forever home.

Olivia just celebrated her 6th birthday. Instead of gifts for herself, she asked for donations for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. She brought in 30 lbs. of cat food, 70 lbs. of dog food, canned food and treats. GREAT JOB OLIVIA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 

Olivia had a tour of the Humane Society and showered the animals with love. Here she is in the picture with Tatum (our lovely cat). Tatum is waiting for her forever home.

This is Melissa. She celebrated her 10th birthday. All she wanted for her birthday was gifts for the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society animals. She brought in dog food,cat food and treats. Happy Birthday Melissa. YOU ROCK!

Abby celebrated her 6th birthday by having her friends donate food, toys,scratch posts and other fantastic gifts for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. Thank you Abby for your kindness in turning your special day into a special day for the animals.

There was dog food, treats and litter.

Her mom and brother came in to help bring in the supplies.

Katrina is one of our faithful volunteers. She celebrated her 12th birthday by asking for donations for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. Thank you so much Katrina. You rock. Caitlyn celebrate her 14th Birthday thinking of our animals at the Humane Society.
She donated $145.00 to help support our animals. Thank you Caitlyn, you are PETACULAR!

Our animals may only be “Half-Way Home” but with your donation and that of others we can help every animal get all the way home.  The animals deserve it! 

Isabella and Sophia are sisters. They wanted to do something special for the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society.
Isabella had her friends and family donate money for the animals instead of buying her presents for her 9th birthday. She raised $216.00.

Sophia held a bake and craft sale and collect $126.93 plus cat and dog food and toys.

Thank you to the Office of the Registrar General. Over the past year and at Christmas they have  made monetary and gift donations. We pawsitively do appreciate your thoughtfulness. When Kerri came to deliver the donations, her daughter Makenna helped her. Thank you again and a happy & healthy new year! 

Taylor & Miana from Ecole Gron-Morgan brought in a wonderful assortment of food and blankets for our shelter animals. Thank you so much for thinking of us. Two paws up for Gron-Morgan students.

Jerid just had his 11th birthday and instead of wishing for presents for himself, he wished his friends would buy for all the animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. His wish came true. He brought in $85.00 plus oodles of food, scratch posts , blankets, treats and Canadian Tire money. Thank you Jerid for being so thoughtful.

Maye opened up her wallet and gave to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society instead of spending it on herself. Thank you for being so thoughtful and generous Maye. Your donation is greatly appreciated. Come and see us again.

Grace 9 years old and Lorenzo who is 4 years old, saved their money and came to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society to donate to the animals for Christmas.
We are so proud of our young people. Thank you Grace and Lorenzo for being so thoughtful of others.

Darci came in to see our animals and fell in love with our huskie pups. She had drawn and coloured a Christmas Scene and had it post near the pups. She has promised to come by again to maybe adopt or be a volunteer at our shelter. She left us supplies for our animals and they were greatly appreciated. Thank you Darci.  Love from all the animals, especially Rose.

Aaron & Austin made their Christmas Run to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society again this year. They bought toys,leashes,towels,dog food and laundry detergent. Thank you so much boys. Nice to see you again. Have a happy and safe New Year to you and your family.

Thank you to Vanderwees staff and volunteers that helped out with the Vanderwees Pet Pics with Santa in November 2009. We received a very generous donation because of all the pet owners that took part in this fundraiser. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

The Primary Kids of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints on Ponderosa Dr. came in all together with their arms loaded of gifts galore for our animals here at the Humane Society. They were given a tour of our facility and we would like to give them a BIG THANK YOU for thinking of us. They even sang a song for us. What a delightful surprise.

Parker,Gage and Piper came into our Humane Society bearing treats, toys and food for all our animals. These boys and girl are all four years old. Thank you so much Parker, Gage and Piper for being so thoughtful.

Keilynn is such a generous young lady. For her eighth birthday, she download the wishlist off our website and sent invitations for her friends to buy for our shelter animals instead of buying for her. Thank you so much Keilynn. Thank you to all Keilynn friends. Very much appreciated.

Jenna, Alanna,Ainsley,Alyssa, Mallory and Matty arranged for their school, St. Paul , to collect donations for our animals at the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society. Their wonderful donation of Christmas gifts for the animals is greatly appreciated. We sure do have thoughtful, young people. Merry Christmas to St. Paul School and all the students.

Miranda is 11 years old. She very much loves animals and took it upon herself to collect a whopping $90.75 donation for our animals at our shelter. She is looking forward to being one of our volunteers. Great job Miranda!

A huge thankyou to Jackie Hearn (Mama Bear) for organizing Mama Bear's Breakfast on September 12th. Chef Rene and his helpers put together a great breakfast. Thanks as well to the celebrity servers, Gary Cooper, Fiona Gardiner, Faye Steadwell, Drs. Gleeson from the Gleeson Clinic, Jackie's family and friends, Bombardier co-workers and generous contributers for their donations. No one went away hungry!

Thank you Bombardier for the heavy duty pressure washer and wheel barrel. It sure has made our job easier to keep areas clean for our animals. GREATLY APPRECIATELY!

A big thank you to Cathy and all the contributors for the successful fundraiser held at Scuttlebutts on July 10/09. We got $1900.00 from this fundraiser.We want to thank all that helped out.

Sarah very generously asked to receive donations of food etc. for our animals at the Humane Society for her 16th birthday. We are so proud of our young people. Thank you for thinking of us Sarah.

Tarah held a yard sale this summer. She sold her own belongings in the sale to raise money for our animals at the Humane Society. Thank you very much Tarah. GREATLY appreciated.

Sisters Caitlin and Maddy held a fundraiser for us this summer. They invited friends and brought us the box of wonderful toys etc.. for our furry animals. They were inspired to do this for the Humane Society because of a new little puppy they had recently gotten. THANK YOU CAITLIN AND MADDY1!!!
